Dog Swimming Near Southport
Southport dogs have the beach, but the sea is cold, tidal and salty — not ideal for a nervous swimmer or an older dog. Our indoor pool is about 25 minutes east by car and roughly nine miles as the crow flies, crossing from Merseyside into Lancashire.
Inside, the water is fresh, calm and heated to 28–32°C. There are no waves, currents or sudden drop-offs, so your dog can learn to swim with confidence and you always know exactly where they are.
Every session is booked privately, so the pool is yours for the full 40 minutes.
Making the most of the drive from Southport
With a slightly longer journey, it's worth arriving a few minutes early so your dog can stretch their legs in our dog field before swimming.
Afterwards, use our drying area to get the worst of the water off before the ride home. A dry dog travels far more comfortably than a soggy one, especially in winter.

Puppies can start from 12 weeks, once they've had their second vaccinations — a warm, quiet pool is a much kinder first experience than a breezy beach.
