Will someone supervise my dog during rehab swimming?
For rehabilitation, we strongly recommend our Swim Coach option (£40) — a trained team member is in the water throughout, guiding your dog's movements for maximum therapeutic benefit.
What if my dog is still in pain after surgery?
Warm water (28–32°C) actually helps manage post-surgical pain by increasing blood flow, reducing muscle tension, and providing gentle movement. Many dogs are visibly more comfortable after swimming.
Do you communicate with my vet about rehab progress?
Absolutely. We're happy to receive your vet's post-operative notes, follow their rehabilitation guidelines, and provide progress updates. Many Lancashire vets work closely with us on patient recovery.
What surgeries benefit from swimming rehabilitation?
Cruciate ligament repair (TPLO/TTA), hip replacement, femoral head excision, spinal surgery (IVDD), fracture repair, limb amputation, and patella luxation surgery all benefit enormously from aquatic rehabilitation.
Can swimming replace cage rest after surgery?
