It happens and it's not a problem! Our filtration system handles it quickly and we're well prepared. We ask that dogs are walked before sessions and we recommend not feeding them within 2 hours of swimming.

Yes — we size the jacket to your puppy and someone is in the water the whole time. No puppy from Bickerstaffe has ever been left to fend for themselves in the pool.
Will someone be in the water with my puppy?
You can swim with your puppy in our Owner In Pool sessions (£35), or choose a Swim Coach session (£40) where a trained team member guides your puppy in the water.
My puppy is fully vaccinated — when can we start?
From 12 weeks, 2 weeks after the final vaccination. Most Bickerstaffe puppies start between 14 and 20 weeks while the socialisation window is still wide open.
Do you provide life jackets for puppies?
Yes — we have life jackets in all sizes, including extra-small for toy breeds. We'll fit one on your puppy if needed to provide extra buoyancy and confidence.
