THE PROBLEM
What's Holding Your Parbold Dog Back?
Repetitive Exercise Injuries
Dogs who only walk or run develop overuse injuries. Swimming provides cross-training that builds balanced strength and prevents strain.
Behavioural Problems at Home
Chewing, barking, digging — these are often signs of under-exercise. Dogs from Parbold who swim regularly are calmer and better behaved.
Hot Weather Exercise Limits
Summer heat makes exercising dogs from Parbold risky. Our temperature-controlled indoor pool is safe and comfortable in any weather.
Expensive vet bills and medication only manage symptoms. Swimming addresses the root cause.

THE DIFFERENCE
Why More Parbold Dogs Are Swimming Every Week

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Your Questions, Answered
"What happens if my dog has an accident in the pool?"
It happens and it's not a problem! Our filtration system handles it quickly and we're well prepared. We ask that dogs are walked before sessions and we recommend not feeding them within 2 hours of swimming.
"How do I know which session type is right?"
Owner In Pool if you want to swim with your dog. Group Classes for social, confident dogs. Swim Coach for nervous dogs, rehabilitation, or therapeutic sessions. Weighty Woofers for weight management. We're happy to recommend — just ask.
"Is swimming tiring for dogs?"
Very! 30 minutes of swimming is equivalent to about 90 minutes of walking in terms of energy expenditure. Most dogs sleep soundly on the drive home to Parbold and are calm all evening.
"Is it really better than outdoor swimming?"
Night and day. Our pool is heated to 28–32°C, filtered and treated for hygiene, has no currents or hidden hazards, and is available all year round regardless of weather. Plus it's completely private — no other dogs to stress yours.
WHAT DOG OWNERS SAY
What Lancashire Dog Owners Say About Us

Tom & Kelly J.

"We tried an outdoor dog pool once and it was freezing, muddy, and crowded. This is the complete opposite. Warm, clean, private, and professional."
Rachel N.

"Best money we spend each month. Our lab is 11 and her arthritis has improved so much since we started regular swims. She moves like a younger dog now."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer group sessions for dogs from Parbold?
Yes! Our Group Classes at £35 per session are great for socialised dogs. You can bring up to 4 dogs in an Owner In Pool session too — perfect for multi-dog households in Parbold.
Is Parbold actually closer than the next nearest pool?
From most Parbold postcodes you're around 15 minutes to us via the A570. The next nearest comparable heated dog pool is materially further — and rarely as quiet or as private.
What's the best time of day to swim from Parbold?
Quietest slots tend to be weekday mornings. Evenings and weekends book up fastest — Parbold owners working 9-to-5 should book 1-2 weeks ahead for those.
Will my dog be the only one in the pool?
Yes. Every session is fully private. Your Parbold dog never meets another dog during their swim, which is why we're a popular choice for reactive or anxious dogs.
Do you have changing facilities?
We have a drying area for dogs and space for you to change if you've been in the pool during an Owner In Pool session. We also have towels available.
Are there any health conditions that prevent swimming?
Dogs with open wounds, active skin infections, untreated ear infections, or uncontrolled seizures should not swim until cleared by a vet. We're happy to advise if you're unsure about your dog's suitability.
What happens during the first session?
We'll do a quick health chat about your dog's breed, age, and any conditions. Then we introduce them to the pool gradually via the ramp. First-timers get extra settling-in time. Most dogs are swimming happily within minutes.
