THE PROBLEM

Why Simonstone Dog Owners Are Choosing Swimming

Bored & Under-Exercised

A tired dog is a happy dog. If your Simonstone pup is destructive, anxious, or pulling on walks, they're probably not getting enough exercise.

Cold Weather Stops Play

When Simonstone weather turns cold and wet, outdoor exercise drops off. Our heated indoor pool means fitness never stops.

Limited Off-Lead Space

Not every Simonstone dog has access to safe off-lead fields. Swimming provides intensive exercise in a secure, enclosed environment.

Expensive vet bills and medication only manage symptoms. Swimming addresses the root cause.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your Simonstone Swimming Questions, Answered

How long is each swimming session?

Sessions are 30 minutes of pool time. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early for your first visit so we can complete a quick health assessment.

What happens during the first session?

We'll do a quick health chat about your dog's breed, age, and any conditions. Then we introduce them to the pool gradually via the ramp. First-timers get extra settling-in time. Most dogs are swimming happily within minutes.

What should I bring for my dog's first swim?

Just your dog and a towel — we supply everything else including life jackets and toys. If you're joining in an Owner In Pool session, bring swimwear too. We have a drying area on site.

What's the difference between Swim Coach and Owner In Pool?

In Owner In Pool sessions, you get in the water with your dog. In Swim Coach sessions, one of our trained team members is in the pool guiding your dog — ideal for rehabilitation, nervous dogs, or when you'd rather watch from poolside.

Do I need a vet referral?

No referral is needed for general swimming sessions. However, if your dog has a specific medical condition, we recommend consulting your vet first. Many vets across Lancashire actively refer to us.

Is the pool available for birthday parties or special occasions?

We love celebrating milestones! Contact us about special occasion bookings. Many Simonstone dog owners book celebration swims for birthdays or adoption anniversaries.

Are there any dogs you can't accept?

We welcome all breeds and ages from 12 weeks. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations. Dogs with open wounds, infectious conditions, or severe uncontrolled aggression may need to wait or have a vet consultation first.
