Why Dunsop Bridge Dog Owners Are Switching to Indoor Swimming
Rivers and lakes near Dunsop Bridge might look inviting, but they carry real risks — blue-green algae, strong currents, sharp debris, and unpredictable water temperatures. Our purpose-built pool eliminates every one of these dangers while providing a better workout.
At 28–32°C, our pool water is therapeutic as well as enjoyable. Dogs exercise harder, recover faster, and genuinely love coming back. That's why families from Dunsop Bridge make our pool part of their regular routine.
Zero Joint Impact
Water supports 90% of body weight, making swimming the safest form of exercise for dogs of all ages and conditions.
Gentle Ramp Entry
Dogs enter via a gradual ramp — no jumping required. Perfect for nervous first-timers and dogs with mobility issues.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Dog Swimming Near Dunsop Bridge — FAQs
Is the drive from Dunsop Bridge worth it?
At just 30 minutes, most Dunsop Bridge dog owners tell us the drive is nothing compared to the results. Free parking, a 30-minute session, and a happy, tired dog on the way home.
What happens during the first session?
We'll do a quick health chat about your dog's breed, age, and any conditions. Then we introduce them to the pool gradually via the ramp. First-timers get extra settling-in time. Most dogs are swimming happily within minutes.
Do you have experience with large breeds?
We regularly swim Great Danes, Newfoundlands, Irish Wolfhounds, and other giant breeds. Our pool is designed to accommodate dogs of all sizes with plenty of room to move.
Is the pool hygienic?
Our pool water is continuously filtered and treated to the highest standards. We maintain strict hygiene protocols and the water is crystal-clear at all times. It's far cleaner than any river, lake, or outdoor pool.
Do I need a vet referral?
No referral is needed for general swimming sessions. However, if your dog has a specific medical condition, we recommend consulting your vet first. Many vets across Lancashire actively refer to us.
How does the pricing work?
Owner In Pool and Group Classes are £35 per 30-minute session. Swim Coach and Weighty Woofers are £40. No membership fees, no contracts — just book when you want.
Can my dog swim if they've been neutered recently?
We recommend waiting at least 14 days after suture removal and getting the all-clear from your vet before swimming. The wound must be fully healed before entering the pool.
