WE HEAR YOU
Concerns? Let Us Put Your Mind at Rest
"Can my dog swim if they're on medication?"
Usually yes — but always mention any medication when booking. Some medications may need timing adjustments around swimming. We'll check with you and advise accordingly.
"Is it really better than outdoor swimming?"
Night and day. Our pool is heated to 28–32°C, filtered and treated for hygiene, has no currents or hidden hazards, and is available all year round regardless of weather. Plus it's completely private — no other dogs to stress yours.
"What if my dog doesn't like it?"
In our experience, the vast majority of dogs take to our warm pool quickly. We never force dogs into the water — they enter at their own pace via a gentle ramp. The warm temperature makes it inviting rather than intimidating.
"What if my dog can't swim at all?"
Many dogs who visit us have never swum before — that's perfectly fine. We use life jackets, gradual ramp entry, and gentle encouragement. Swimming is a natural instinct for most dogs; they just need the right introduction.
WHAT DOG OWNERS SAY

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Practical Answers for Knowsley Dog Owners
What happens if my dog doesn't want to swim?
No dog is ever forced into the water. If your dog isn't ready, we let them explore poolside and build confidence at their own pace. Most dogs swim happily within their first or second visit.
Do you have changing facilities?
We have a drying area for dogs and space for you to change if you've been in the pool during an Owner In Pool session. We also have towels available.
How do I book a session from Knowsley?
You can call us on 07359 881320, fill in the enquiry form on this page, or email info@westlancsk9splash.co.uk. We're open 7 days a week, 9am–8pm.
Can my dog swim if they've been neutered recently?
We recommend waiting at least 14 days after suture removal and getting the all-clear from your vet before swimming. The wound must be fully healed before entering the pool.
Do you offer group sessions for dogs from Knowsley?
Yes! Our Group Classes at £35 per session are great for socialised dogs. You can bring up to 4 dogs in an Owner In Pool session too — perfect for multi-dog households in Knowsley.
How wet will my car be on the way back to Knowsley?
Hardly at all. We have a dedicated drying area on site and most dogs are touch-dry before they leave. Bring a towel for the back seat just in case.
Is Knowsley actually closer than the next nearest pool?
From most Knowsley postcodes you're around 25 minutes to us via the M62. The next nearest comparable heated dog pool is materially further — and rarely as quiet or as private.
