What a Typical Session Looks Like for a Sale Dog
You arrive at our Bretherton site after a 35-minute drive from Sale, park metres from the pool door, and we'll meet you and your dog at reception. New dogs get a short, calm introduction to the pool environment before anything else happens.
Once your dog is comfortable, we walk them down the gentle ramp into 28–32°C water. The full 30 minutes belongs to your dog — no shared sessions, no clock-watching. We finish with a towel-off, a debrief, and you're on your way.

Many dogs who visit us have never swum before — that's perfectly fine. We use life jackets, gradual ramp entry, and gentle encouragement. Swimming is a natural instinct for most dogs; they just need the right introduction.
"What if my dog doesn't like it?"
In our experience, the vast majority of dogs take to our warm pool quickly. We never force dogs into the water — they enter at their own pace via a gentle ramp. The warm temperature makes it inviting rather than intimidating.
"How do I know which session type is right?"
Owner In Pool if you want to swim with your dog. Group Classes for social, confident dogs. Swim Coach for nervous dogs, rehabilitation, or therapeutic sessions. Weighty Woofers for weight management. We're happy to recommend — just ask.
"How does this compare to a vet hydrotherapy centre?"
Our sessions are £35-40 compared to £50-80+ at vet hydrotherapy centres. Our pool is the same quality — heated, filtered, purpose-built. For dogs needing rehabilitation, we're happy to work alongside your vet.

Can I buy a package of sessions?
Yes — we offer multi-session packages at a discount. Ask us when you book or call 07359 881320 for current offers. Regular swimmers from Sale often find packages the best value.
Do I need to bring anything for my dog's swim?
Just your dog and a towel! We provide life jackets, toys, and everything else needed. We also have a drying area on site so your dog can dry off before the journey home to Sale.
Do you cater for older dogs from Sale?
Older dogs often benefit the most from swimming. The warm water eases stiff joints and the buoyancy means they can exercise without pain. We've had dogs well into their teens swimming with us regularly.
Is Sale actually closer than the next nearest pool?
