RECOGNISE THE SIGNS?

Hidden Limits of Exercise for Adlington Dogs

Bored & Under-Exercised

A tired dog is a happy dog. If your Adlington pup is destructive, anxious, or pulling on walks, they're probably not getting enough exercise.

Repetitive Exercise Injuries

Dogs who only walk or run develop overuse injuries. Swimming provides cross-training that builds balanced strength and prevents strain.

Hot Weather Exercise Limits

Summer heat makes exercising dogs from Adlington risky. Our temperature-controlled indoor pool is safe and comfortable in any weather.

Expensive vet bills and medication only manage symptoms. Swimming addresses the root cause.

WHAT SETS US APART

Why Adlington Dog Owners Are Switching to Indoor Swimming

Rivers and lakes near Adlington might look inviting, but they carry real risks — blue-green algae, strong currents, sharp debris, and unpredictable water temperatures. Our purpose-built pool eliminates every one of these dangers while providing a better workout.

At 28–32°C, our pool water is therapeutic as well as enjoyable. Dogs exercise harder, recover faster, and genuinely love coming back. That's why families from Adlington make our pool part of their regular routine.

Heated to 28–32°C

Our pool maintains a therapeutic temperature all year round — warm, clean, and comfortable for every breed and age.

All Breeds Welcome

From tiny Chihuahuas to giant Great Danes, we cater for every breed with adjustable depths and gentle ramp entry.

Mental Stimulation

The sensory experience of swimming — water pressure, temperature, movement — provides intense mental engagement alongside physical exercise.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Adlington Owners Ask — We Answer Straight

"Do I need to book in advance?"

We recommend booking ahead as sessions fill up, especially evenings and weekends. Call 07359 881320, fill in our form, or email us. We try to accommodate short-notice bookings when possible.

"How much does it cost?"

Sessions start from just £35 for Owner In Pool and Group Classes, and £40 for Swim Coach and Weighty Woofers. Compare that to a vet hydrotherapy session at £50–80+ and you're getting outstanding value.

"Is swimming tiring for dogs?"

Very! 30 minutes of swimming is equivalent to about 90 minutes of walking in terms of energy expenditure. Most dogs sleep soundly on the drive home to Adlington and are calm all evening.

"Can I get in the pool with my dog?"

Yes! Our Owner In Pool sessions let you swim alongside your dog. It's a bonding experience like no other. We provide everything you need — just bring your swimwear and a towel.

WHAT DOG OWNERS SAY

What Lancashire Dog Owners Tell Us

"Started bringing our overweight bulldog here and she's lost 3kg in 8 weeks! She actually enjoys exercise now. The Weighty Woofers programme is brilliant."

Lisa C.

French Bulldog, 5 years

"We live near Adlington and this has become our weekly treat. The staff remember our dog's name, know her quirks, and always make her feel special. That personal touch matters."

Helen & Rob F.

Whippet, 4 years

"Brilliant for our working cocker who does agility. The swimming keeps her fit, builds strength in muscle groups that agility alone doesn't work, and she adores it."

James H.

Working Cocker Spaniel, 4 years

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your Adlington Swimming Questions, Answered

How often should my dog swim?

For general fitness, once a week is brilliant. For weight loss or rehabilitation, twice a week is recommended. Even fortnightly sessions make a noticeable difference.

Can I swim with my dog?

Absolutely! Our Owner In Pool sessions let you get in the water with your dog. It's a fantastic bonding experience. Just bring your swimwear and a towel — we supply everything else.

Do I need to bring anything for my dog's swim?

Just your dog and a towel! We provide life jackets, toys, and everything else needed. We also have a drying area on site so your dog can dry off before the journey home to Adlington.

Can my dog swim if they've been neutered recently?

We recommend waiting at least 14 days after suture removal and getting the all-clear from your vet before swimming. The wound must be fully healed before entering the pool.

We're open 7 days a week, 9am–8pm. Evening and weekend slots are available so Adlington dog owners can fit sessions around work and family.

Do you cater for older dogs from Adlington?

Older dogs often benefit the most from swimming. The warm water eases stiff joints and the buoyancy means they can exercise without pain. We've had dogs well into their teens swimming with us regularly.
