THE PROBLEM
Why Adlington Dog Owners Are Choosing Swimming
Cold Weather Stops Play
When Adlington weather turns cold and wet, outdoor exercise drops off. Our heated indoor pool means fitness never stops.
No Social Swimming Options
Finding controlled, supervised swimming for dogs near Adlington is difficult. Our purpose-built facility fills that gap perfectly.
Separation Anxiety
Dogs who don't burn enough energy develop anxiety. A 30-minute swim leaves dogs calm, content, and ready to relax at home.
Sound familiar? Swimming solves all of these — safely and enjoyably.

WHY CHOOSE US
What a Typical Session Looks Like for a Adlington Dog
You arrive at our Bretherton site after a 15-minute drive from Adlington, park metres from the pool door, and we'll meet you and your dog at reception. New dogs get a short, calm introduction to the pool environment before anything else happens.
Once your dog is comfortable, we walk them down the gentle ramp into 28–32°C water. The full 30 minutes belongs to your dog — no shared sessions, no clock-watching. We finish with a towel-off, a debrief, and you're on your way.
Crystal-Clear Water
Our water is continuously filtered and treated to the highest standards. No mud, no algae, no hidden hazards.
Mental Stimulation
The sensory experience of swimming — water pressure, temperature, movement — provides intense mental engagement alongside physical exercise.
Year-Round Availability
Rain, snow, or heatwave — our indoor heated pool means your dog's exercise never depends on the weather.

YOUR QUESTIONS
What Adlington Dog Owners Want to Know
"Do I need to book in advance?"
We recommend booking ahead as sessions fill up, especially evenings and weekends. Call 07359 881320, fill in our form, or email us. We try to accommodate short-notice bookings when possible.
"What ages of dog do you accept?"
From 12-week-old puppies (after second vaccination) to senior dogs of any age. We adjust every session to your dog's ability. Some of our most enthusiastic swimmers are well into their teens!
"What do I need to bring?"
Just your dog and a towel. If you're doing Owner In Pool, bring swimwear too. We provide life jackets, toys, and everything else needed. Free parking means you don't even need change for a meter.
"Is it really better than outdoor swimming?"
Night and day. Our pool is heated to 28–32°C, filtered and treated for hygiene, has no currents or hidden hazards, and is available all year round regardless of weather. Plus it's completely private — no other dogs to stress yours.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Got Questions? We've Got Answers
Do you cater for older dogs from Adlington?
Older dogs often benefit the most from swimming. The warm water eases stiff joints and the buoyancy means they can exercise without pain. We've had dogs well into their teens swimming with us regularly.
Can I watch my dog swim?
Absolutely. You can watch from poolside during Swim Coach sessions, or jump in yourself during Owner In Pool sessions. Many Adlington owners love watching their dog's progress from week to week.
Is swimming better than walking for dogs?
Swimming burns approximately 5 times more calories than walking and builds muscle 15 times more efficiently — all with zero joint impact. It's particularly beneficial for overweight, arthritic, or recovering dogs.
Can my dog swim if they've been neutered recently?
We recommend waiting at least 14 days after suture removal and getting the all-clear from your vet before swimming. The wound must be fully healed before entering the pool.
Do you have experience with large breeds?
We regularly swim Great Danes, Newfoundlands, Irish Wolfhounds, and other giant breeds. Our pool is designed to accommodate dogs of all sizes with plenty of room to move.
Do you offer group sessions for dogs from Adlington?
Yes! Our Group Classes at £35 per session are great for socialised dogs. You can bring up to 4 dogs in an Owner In Pool session too — perfect for multi-dog households in Adlington.
Is the pool hygienic?
Our pool water is continuously filtered and treated to the highest standards. We maintain strict hygiene protocols and the water is crystal-clear at all times. It's far cleaner than any river, lake, or outdoor pool.
