THE PROBLEM
What Most Whitley Dog Owners Don't Realise
Hot Weather Exercise Limits
Summer heat makes exercising dogs from Whitley risky. Our temperature-controlled indoor pool is safe and comfortable in any weather.
Limited Off-Lead Space
Not every Whitley dog has access to safe off-lead fields. Swimming provides intensive exercise in a secure, enclosed environment.
Post-Surgery Blues
Recovering dogs need to rebuild muscle, but too much walking risks re-injury. Swimming is the vet-recommended solution.
Expensive vet bills and medication only manage symptoms. Swimming addresses the root cause.

WE HEAR YOU
Common Questions From Whitley
"What if my dog doesn't like it?"
In our experience, the vast majority of dogs take to our warm pool quickly. We never force dogs into the water — they enter at their own pace via a gentle ramp. The warm temperature makes it inviting rather than intimidating.
"How does this compare to a vet hydrotherapy centre?"
Our sessions are £35-40 compared to £50-80+ at vet hydrotherapy centres. Our pool is the same quality — heated, filtered, purpose-built. For dogs needing rehabilitation, we're happy to work alongside your vet.
"What if my dog has health issues?"
We cater for all conditions — arthritis, hip dysplasia, obesity, post-surgery recovery, and more. We'll ask about your dog's health before their first session and tailor everything accordingly. We welcome vet referrals too.
"What if my dog can't swim at all?"
Many dogs who visit us have never swum before — that's perfectly fine. We use life jackets, gradual ramp entry, and gentle encouragement. Swimming is a natural instinct for most dogs; they just need the right introduction.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Got Questions? We've Got Answers
Is the pool available for birthday parties or special occasions?
We love celebrating milestones! Contact us about special occasion bookings. Many Whitley dog owners book celebration swims for birthdays or adoption anniversaries.
Can my dog swim if they've been neutered recently?
We recommend waiting at least 14 days after suture removal and getting the all-clear from your vet before swimming. The wound must be fully healed before entering the pool.
Is the pool suitable for puppies from Whitley?
Yes! We accept puppies from 12 weeks old, after their second vaccination. Our gentle ramp entry and warm water make it the perfect environment for a puppy's first swim.
Can aggressive dogs swim?
Every session is completely private — your dog will never encounter other dogs. If your dog is reactive or anxious around other animals, our private sessions are the perfect solution.
What if my dog is nervous about water?
We specialise in nervous swimmers. Our gentle ramp lets dogs walk in at their own pace, the warm water is inviting rather than shocking, and our team has helped hundreds of first-timers. Most dogs swim confidently by session one or two.
Do you have experience with large breeds?
We regularly swim Great Danes, Newfoundlands, Irish Wolfhounds, and other giant breeds. Our pool is designed to accommodate dogs of all sizes with plenty of room to move.
Do you do gift vouchers for dog owners in Whitley?
Yes. Vouchers are a popular present for Whitley dog owners — birthdays, Christmas, or a new puppy in the family. Call 07359 881320 to arrange one.
