DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
The Issues Hoghton Dog Owners Talk to Us About
Muddy, Dirty Outdoor Swimming
Tired of your dog coming home filthy from outdoor water? Our crystal-clear, filtered pool means your dog swims clean and stays clean.
Repetitive Exercise Injuries
Dogs who only walk or run develop overuse injuries. Swimming provides cross-training that builds balanced strength and prevents strain.
Bored & Under-Exercised
A tired dog is a happy dog. If your Hoghton pup is destructive, anxious, or pulling on walks, they're probably not getting enough exercise.
Sound familiar? Swimming solves all of these — safely and enjoyably.

GOOD TO KNOW
What Hoghton Dog Owners Want to Know
"What ages of dog do you accept?"
From 12-week-old puppies (after second vaccination) to senior dogs of any age. We adjust every session to your dog's ability. Some of our most enthusiastic swimmers are well into their teens!
"What if my dog has health issues?"
We cater for all conditions — arthritis, hip dysplasia, obesity, post-surgery recovery, and more. We'll ask about your dog's health before their first session and tailor everything accordingly. We welcome vet referrals too.
"Is the pool big enough for large breeds?"
Absolutely. We welcome everything from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. The pool has adjustable depths and ample space for even the largest breeds to swim comfortably.
"Is swimming tiring for dogs?"
Very! 30 minutes of swimming is equivalent to about 90 minutes of walking in terms of energy expenditure. Most dogs sleep soundly on the drive home to Hoghton and are calm all evening.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes — sessions are by appointment only to ensure every dog gets private pool time. We recommend booking at least a few days ahead, especially for weekend sessions. Call 07359 881320 or use our online form.
How long is each swimming session?
Sessions are 30 minutes of pool time. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early for your first visit so we can complete a quick health assessment.
Can I swim with my dog?
Absolutely! Our Owner In Pool sessions let you get in the water with your dog. It's a fantastic bonding experience. Just bring your swimwear and a towel — we supply everything else.
Is there anything to do near the pool while we're in Hoghton?
We're rurally placed near Blackburn, with quiet lanes and farmland walks within a few minutes. Some owners turn a session into a half-day out with their dog.
Can my dog swim after eating?
We recommend waiting at least an hour after feeding before swimming — just like humans. This helps prevent discomfort and allows your dog to get the most from their session.
What happens during the first session?
We'll do a quick health chat about your dog's breed, age, and any conditions. Then we introduce them to the pool gradually via the ramp. First-timers get extra settling-in time. Most dogs are swimming happily within minutes.
Do you offer group sessions for dogs from Hoghton?
Yes! Our Group Classes at £35 per session are great for socialised dogs. You can bring up to 4 dogs in an Owner In Pool session too — perfect for multi-dog households in Hoghton.
