COMMON CONCERNS
Why Walks Alone Aren't Enough for Brinscall Dogs
Nowhere Safe to Swim
Rivers and lakes near Brinscall can be dangerous — strong currents, blue-green algae, hidden debris. Your dog deserves a safe, controlled environment.
Nervous Around Water
Many dogs in Lancashire have never been introduced to water properly. Our gentle approach builds lifelong water confidence.
Behavioural Problems at Home
Chewing, barking, digging — these are often signs of under-exercise. Dogs from Brinscall who swim regularly are calmer and better behaved.
Sound familiar? Swimming solves all of these — safely and enjoyably.

Indoor Dog Swimming — The Smarter Choice for Brinscall
When Lancashire weather turns cold and wet — which, let's be honest, happens often — outdoor exercise drops off. Dogs get bored, gain weight, and develop behavioural problems. Our heated indoor pool means your dog's exercise routine never misses a beat, regardless of the forecast.
Every session is private, so your dog gets our full attention without the stress of other dogs. We provide life jackets, toys, and expert supervision. You just bring your dog, a towel, and 20 minutes of driving time.
Completely Private Sessions
No crowded pools, no stressed dogs — just your dog getting our full attention in a calm, controlled environment.
Year-Round Availability
Rain, snow, or heatwave — our indoor heated pool means your dog's exercise never depends on the weather.
Crystal-Clear Water
Our water is continuously filtered and treated to the highest standards. No mud, no algae, no hidden hazards.
Not Sure If Swimming Is Right for Your Dog?
Tell us a bit about your Brinscall dog and we'll honestly say whether the pool would help. No pressure, no sales pitch.

GOOD TO KNOW
What Brinscall Dog Owners Want to Know
"What happens if my dog has an accident in the pool?"
It happens and it's not a problem! Our filtration system handles it quickly and we're well prepared. We ask that dogs are walked before sessions and we recommend not feeding them within 2 hours of swimming.
"What ages of dog do you accept?"
From 12-week-old puppies (after second vaccination) to senior dogs of any age. We adjust every session to your dog's ability. Some of our most enthusiastic swimmers are well into their teens!
"Can my dog swim if they're on medication?"
Usually yes — but always mention any medication when booking. Some medications may need timing adjustments around swimming. We'll check with you and advise accordingly.
"Do I need to book in advance?"
We recommend booking ahead as sessions fill up, especially evenings and weekends. Call 07359 881320, fill in our form, or email us. We try to accommodate short-notice bookings when possible.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Got Questions? We've Got Answers
Can my dog swim after eating?
We recommend waiting at least an hour after feeding before swimming — just like humans. This helps prevent discomfort and allows your dog to get the most from their session.
Is there anything to do near the pool while we're in Brinscall?
We're rurally placed near Chorley, with quiet lanes and farmland walks within a few minutes. Some owners turn a session into a half-day out with their dog.
What's the best time of day to swim from Brinscall?
Quietest slots tend to be weekday mornings. Evenings and weekends book up fastest — Brinscall owners working 9-to-5 should book 1-2 weeks ahead for those.
How does the pricing work?
Owner In Pool and Group Classes are £35 per 30-minute session. Swim Coach and Weighty Woofers are £40. No membership fees, no contracts — just book when you want.
Can I watch my dog swim?
Absolutely. You can watch from poolside during Swim Coach sessions, or jump in yourself during Owner In Pool sessions. Many Brinscall owners love watching their dog's progress from week to week.
How deep is the pool?
Our pool has adjustable depths to suit every size of dog, from toy breeds to giant breeds. Dogs enter via a gradual ramp, so they're always in control of how deep they go.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes — sessions are by appointment only to ensure every dog gets private pool time. We recommend booking at least a few days ahead, especially for weekend sessions. Call 07359 881320 or use our online form.
