When St Helens weather turns cold and wet, outdoor exercise drops off. Our heated indoor pool means fitness never stops.
Post-Surgery Blues
Recovering dogs need to rebuild muscle, but too much walking risks re-injury. Swimming is the vet-recommended solution.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
Your Questions, Answered
"Is it really better than outdoor swimming?"
Night and day. Our pool is heated to 28–32°C, filtered and treated for hygiene, has no currents or hidden hazards, and is available all year round regardless of weather. Plus it's completely private — no other dogs to stress yours.
"How does this compare to a vet hydrotherapy centre?"
Our sessions are £35-40 compared to £50-80+ at vet hydrotherapy centres. Our pool is the same quality — heated, filtered, purpose-built. For dogs needing rehabilitation, we're happy to work alongside your vet.
"Is the water clean and safe?"
Our water is continuously filtered and treated to exceed hygiene standards. It's crystal-clear at all times — far cleaner and safer than any river, lake, or outdoor dog pool you'll find near St Helens.
"How much does it cost?"
Sessions start from just £35 for Owner In Pool and Group Classes, and £40 for Swim Coach and Weighty Woofers. Compare that to a vet hydrotherapy session at £50–80+ and you're getting outstanding value.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything You Need to Know
Are there any dogs you can't accept?
We welcome all breeds and ages from 12 weeks. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations. Dogs with open wounds, infectious conditions, or severe uncontrolled aggression may need to wait or have a vet consultation first.
Are there any health conditions that prevent swimming?
Dogs with open wounds, active skin infections, untreated ear infections, or uncontrolled seizures should not swim until cleared by a vet. We're happy to advise if you're unsure about your dog's suitability.
How warm is the pool?
Our pool is heated to between 28°C and 32°C — warmer than most human swimming pools. This temperature is ideal for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors.
How do regular swimmers from St Helens schedule their visits?
Most regular swimmers from St Helens book a standing weekly or fortnightly slot. This ensures they get their preferred day and time. We're flexible with rescheduling when life gets in the way.
Is the pool chlorinated?
We use a professional water treatment system that keeps the water crystal-clear and hygienic without harsh chemical smells. Our system is far gentler on dogs' skin and eyes than traditional chlorinated pools.
How wet will my car be on the way back to St Helens?
Hardly at all. We have a dedicated drying area on site and most dogs are touch-dry before they leave. Bring a towel for the back seat just in case.
What should I bring for my dog's first swim?
Just your dog and a towel — we supply everything else including life jackets and toys. If you're joining in an Owner In Pool session, bring swimwear too. We have a drying area on site.
