Private Dog Swimming Near Fence
Outdoor swimming near Fence comes with risks most owners only discover after the fact: blue-green algae, currents, broken glass, leptospirosis. Our pool sidesteps every one of them.
Fence is a village within the Brierfield area. See our main Brierfield dog swimming page for the wider local picture.
RECOGNISE THE SIGNS?
Sound Familiar? Fence Dogs Deserve Better
Nowhere Safe to Swim
Rivers and lakes near Fence can be dangerous — strong currents, blue-green algae, hidden debris. Your dog deserves a safe, controlled environment.
Limited Off-Lead Space
Not every Fence dog has access to safe off-lead fields. Swimming provides intensive exercise in a secure, enclosed environment.
Ageing Without Support
Senior dogs in Fence deserve better than shortened walks and a life on the sofa. Swimming keeps them mobile, engaged, and comfortable.
Sound familiar? Swimming solves all of these — safely and enjoyably.

WHY CHOOSE US
What a Typical Session Looks Like for a Fence Dog
You arrive at our Bretherton site after a 30-minute drive from Fence, park metres from the pool door, and we'll meet you and your dog at reception. New dogs get a short, calm introduction to the pool environment before anything else happens.
Once your dog is comfortable, we walk them down the gentle ramp into 28–32°C water. The full 30 minutes belongs to your dog — no shared sessions, no clock-watching. We finish with a towel-off, a debrief, and you're on your way.
Year-Round Availability
Rain, snow, or heatwave — our indoor heated pool means your dog's exercise never depends on the weather.
Crystal-Clear Water
Our water is continuously filtered and treated to the highest standards. No mud, no algae, no hidden hazards.
Full-Body Workout
Swimming engages every major muscle group simultaneously. 30 minutes in the pool equals 90 minutes of walking.

GOOD TO KNOW
Everything Fence Dog Owners Ask Us
"What if my dog has health issues?"
We cater for all conditions — arthritis, hip dysplasia, obesity, post-surgery recovery, and more. We'll ask about your dog's health before their first session and tailor everything accordingly. We welcome vet referrals too.
"Is it really better than outdoor swimming?"
Night and day. Our pool is heated to 28–32°C, filtered and treated for hygiene, has no currents or hidden hazards, and is available all year round regardless of weather. Plus it's completely private — no other dogs to stress yours.
"Can my dog swim if they're on medication?"
Usually yes — but always mention any medication when booking. Some medications may need timing adjustments around swimming. We'll check with you and advise accordingly.
"Do I need to book in advance?"
We recommend booking ahead as sessions fill up, especially evenings and weekends. Call 07359 881320, fill in our form, or email us. We try to accommodate short-notice bookings when possible.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common Questions About Dog Swimming Near Fence
Do you do gift vouchers for dog owners in Fence?
Yes. Vouchers are a popular present for Fence dog owners — birthdays, Christmas, or a new puppy in the family. Call 07359 881320 to arrange one.
How do I book a session from Fence?
You can call us on 07359 881320, fill in the enquiry form on this page, or email info@westlancsk9splash.co.uk. We're open 7 days a week, 9am–8pm.
What's the difference between Swim Coach and Owner In Pool?
In Owner In Pool sessions, you get in the water with your dog. In Swim Coach sessions, one of our trained team members is in the pool guiding your dog — ideal for rehabilitation, nervous dogs, or when you'd rather watch from poolside.
Can I swim with my dog?
Absolutely! Our Owner In Pool sessions let you get in the water with your dog. It's a fantastic bonding experience. Just bring your swimwear and a towel — we supply everything else.
Is the pool available for birthday parties or special occasions?
We love celebrating milestones! Contact us about special occasion bookings. Many Fence dog owners book celebration swims for birthdays or adoption anniversaries.
Do you accept dogs with disabilities?
Yes — we welcome dogs with physical disabilities, amputations, and mobility challenges. Swimming is often the best exercise for these dogs because water supports their body and allows free movement.
What should I bring for my dog's first swim?
Just your dog and a towel — we supply everything else including life jackets and toys. If you're joining in an Owner In Pool session, bring swimwear too. We have a drying area on site.
